Operations and Clinical Data Collection

The Transplant Information Services (TIS) Operations and Clinical Data Collection is a standing committee responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of clinical data in OTTR and the staffing and data collection processes to support the clinical program’s information service needs. The committee is charged with making recommendations regarding data collection functions across constituents, approving TIS job functions critical to clinical data collection, and recommending changes in TIS core staffing.

Specifically, the Operations and Clinical Data Collections Committee

• Recommends policies;
• Prioritizes clinical data and staffing needs;
• Recommends policies regarding use of legacy data (i.e., existing transplant data); and
• Assures the quality and integrity of data in OTTR.

The TIS Operations and Clinical Data Collection Committee consists of the TIS Director, TIS clinical leads, program medical and surgical Directors, Director of the Transplant Office, OTTR Liaison, transplant coordinators, and Fairview IS. The medical directors of TIS and the MSA Transplant Manager will serve in an ex officio capacity. At the discretion of the committee, outside members will be asked to contribute. To begin with, the committee will meet monthly. Once the OTTR is fully operation, the committee will meet quarterly, at a minimum, 2 to 4 weeks before each Board of Managers meeting.
